Commerzbank has been present in Luxembourg since 1969. The Commerzbank branch office was established in 2006 as a service provider for the Luxembourg subsidiaries, and later expanded to exploit the advantages of this location for Commerzbank units in other locations throughout Europe.
Following the merger with Dresdner Bank in Luxembourg, the range of services offered by Commerzbank AG's Luxembourg branch was broadened significantly, including the creation of a central office for loan processing and the addition of precious metal trading and settlement.

- Commerzbank AG's Luxembourg branch also encompasses essential corporate centre functions for the group's other branch offices around Western Europe.
